"I have good news for cat and dog lovers," Finance Minister P Chidambaram said on Wednesday announcing duty reduction on pet foods.

"I propose to reduce the duty on pet foods from 30 per cent to 20 per cent," he said presenting the 2007-08 Budget in the Lok Sabha.

This announcement invoked mild protests from certain members to which Speaker Somnath Chatterjee quipped "don't you like dogs?"
