Tata Power may cut power tariff

Welcoming the customs and excise duty cuts by Centre, the Tata Power Company said it expected five paise per unit reduction in its power tariff in February.

"We expect a five paise reduction in power tariff of TPC by February in line with the reduction in import duty on coal," a company official said.
