i-Flex CEO's bail plea to be heard next week

March 28, 2003 18:32 IST

The bail application of chief executive officer of Dutch subsidiary of i-Flex Senthil Kumar, detained by British police for alleged violations of visa regulations will come up for hearing in a court on Wednesday.

Senthil, who was detained on Thursday, is now currently lodged in Brixton prison in South-West London.

According to official sources, the police had given Kumar the option to go to Netherlands and face charges there since his company was bound by the European Commission regulations but he opted to fight it out in London.

Kumar's wife was able to meet him in the Brixton prison on Thursday, the sources said. "We are responding to all their queries," a spokesman of the company told PTI in London.  He, however, declined to give any further details.
