Selena, Katy, Gaga: VOTE for celebs on the red carpet!

The MTV Video Music Awards 2013 were held in New York City last night. Here are a few pics of famous faces in attendance -- who do you think scored bigtime in the style stakes and who tanked? Vote and let us know!

It's one of the music industry's biggest annual dos and to mark the occasion, several stars turned up at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25 this year in the most eye-catching -- and sometimes outrageous -- outfits.

We start off with Selena Gomez, who dared to bare in a deep blue Atelier Versace gown that was held together by little more than hook and eye fastenings and revealed a sheer basque underneath (click here to view the entire Fall 2013 Atelier Versace collection).

Katy Perry donned a slit-to-the-thigh Emanuel Ungaro animal print, complete with gold floral and dragonfly embellishments around the neck and shoulders. Certainly an attention-stealer, what say?

American model Erin Wasson left little to the imagination in a sheer black number worn over a bandeau-style monokini by Alexandre Vauthier.

Country singer Taylor Swift channeled classic Hollywood glamour in her plunging navy Herve Leger cocktail dress and vintage curled hairdo.

Ciara opted for a netted Givenchy gown that sported only strategically-placed white and silver embroidery to protect her modesty and trailed into feathers at the bottom.

The inimitable Lady Gaga had a Morticia Addams vibe going in this satin Prabal Gurung creation, complete with rubber appliques and train.

Hip-hop star Ashanti's cutaway sea-green ensemble looked like it was designed to show skin rather than conceal it.

While Rita Ora's Alexandre Vauthier design wasn't as bold as model Erin Wasson's, it certainly made as much of an impression with that plunging neckline, slit upto the hip and dramatic feathery train -- one of the longest we've seen on the red carpet to date!

Miley Cyrus decided she would stand out in stone-studded Dolce & Gabbana leggings and a crop top. Which she did -- just not in a good way.

Aussie singer Iggy Azalea ensured all eyes were on her in this wispy gold Emilio Pucci style that revealed more than it managed to conceal.

Glee actress Naya Rivera showed off her curves in a vintage body-hugging sheath with cutout detailing by Paco Rabanne.

And finally we have the voluptuous Jordin Sparks, who donned a clinging white skirt and crop top for the occasion.
