The tour to India [ Images ], the country where he had made his Test debut more than six years back, is where he made his presence felt. He aggregated 562 runs in the four Tests (@80.29), even as England secured a series win on Indian soil after 28 years.
South Africa's [ Images ] Hashim Amla [ Images ], with 1064 runs was third, while England's Kevin Pietersen [ Images ] (1053) and Jonathan Trott (1005) were fourth and fifth on the list of 2012's lead scorers in Test cricket.
