Leg-spinner Anil Kumble will miss the third one-dayer against Sri Lanka due to personal reasons, skipper Rahul Dravid told a news conference on Tuesday.

Irfan Pathan and Shanthakumaran Sreesanth would also miss Wednesday's match in Goa, he added.

The hosts trail the four-match series 1-0 after losing the previous game in Rajkot on Sunday by five runs. The opening match in Kolkata was abandoned due to rain.

"Anil had to go home and is expected back tonight," Dravid said, as he announced the 12 players for the match.

"Irfan (Pathan) is not 100 per cent fit (and) we won't be risking him in tomorrow's game. Missing out of the 12 are (Shanthakumaran) Sreesanth and Kumble," the skipper added.

Pathan has been struggling to recover from a sore shoulder.

"These two games give us the time to prepare and get our thoughts and collect our ideas together as we go into the World Cup," Dravid said.

"We know what we have to do. We have to win both these games."

The spotlight will be on batsman Virender Sehwag, who was picked for the World Cup in West Indies despite patchy form in the last few months.

The Delhi opener's carefree attitude has been blamed for his poor run and doubts had been raised about his selection after he managed just one fifty in the last 11 innings since August.

"We are all hoping he comes good," Dravid said.

"I think he's an innings away from coming good. If it happens tomorrow, great, if he doesn't we'll just have to wait a little longer."

India announced their 15-man World Cup squad on Monday.

Sri Lanka have a slight injury concern over wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara, who's sparkling century paved the way for victory in the previous mach.

"He had a stomach upset. He should be ok tomorrow," skipper Mahela Jayawardene told reporters.
