Rain robs India of yet another win

142 - Ross Taylor and James Franklin added 142 runs - which is New Zealand's highest fifth-wicket partnership against India, beating the 140-run partnership between Craig McMillan and Adam Parore at Hamilton in 1998-99.

41 - Number of years after which India won a Test series on New Zealand soil. Tiger Pataudi-led Indian side had beaten New Zealand 3-1 in 1968.

3 - Number of instances when rain or bad weather robbed India off a certain win with opponents 8 down. The other two such instances were against West Indies at Calcutta in 1978-79 and against South Africa at Johannesburg in 1996-97.
