IndianĀ team's assistant coach Lalchand Rajput denied saying Yuvraj Singh has an attitude problem and accused the Australian media of playing mind games.

Melbourne-based daily The Age earlier quoted Rajput as saying that Yuvraj's attitude had become an issue with the team management and the left-hander would face an "one-on-one" in Sydney where India play the second Test against Australia.

Saying he had been misquoted by the daily, Rajput alleged the Australian media are playing mind games.

"I was totally misquoted, because the media manager was with me when we gave a presser and this topic was never discussed at all," Rajput said.

"He [Yuvraj] has been doing very well and I think he is our best fielder. So I don't think anybody doubts his capabilities on the field," he said.

Earlier, the daily had quoted him as saying "Yes, there's a problem with Yuvraj's attitude. We will have to have a one-on-one with him in Sydney."

The report claimed Yuvraj's attitude during theĀ first Test in Melbourne" infuriated members of the Indian side" and his "air of indifference", coupled with his failure with the bat at MCG, might cost him his place in the side, paving the way for either Virender Sehwag or Dinesh Karthik to open the innings.

"To me, it is just playing mind games. The Australian media had started it before the tour as well - they always keep on doing something or the other," Rajput added.
