The Rest of India [ Images ] team suffered a massive blow just before the start of the Irani Trophy match against Mumbai [ Images ] as skipper Virender Sehwag [ Images ] was ruled out due to an upset stomach in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Sehwag was replaced by senior off-spinner Harbhajan Singh [ Images ] as captain.
The match would have been a good opportunity for the struggling Sehwag to prove his worth for the upcoming high-profile home Test series against Australia [ Images ].
Mumbai were also missing their regular captain Ajit Agakar, who was forced to miss the match because of a groin injury. All-rounder Abhishek Nayar [ Images ] was named as the Mumbai skipper for this match.
Mumbai are looking to win their first Irani Trophy having lost all their previous six encounters.
