Twice a year Economist Intelligence Unit comes up with a report the Worldwide Cost of Living, which details costs in different cities.

The report is compiled by comparing "more than 400 individual prices across 160 product and services" including food, drink, clothing, household supplies and personal care items, home rents, transport, utility bills, private schools, domestic help and recreational costs.

To evaluate the cities, the survey takes prices in New York as the base (100), and compared other cities with it.

Here's a list of cheapest and most expensive cities.
