The fifth and final one-dayer between India and England, which was scheduled to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on October 26, has been advanced by a day due to Kali Puja celebrations in the city.

The match will now be played on October 25.

"The BCCI has advised the ECB that the 5th ODI between India and England, scheduled for Kolkata on 26 October 2011, will have to be played a day earlier than originally agreed, in view of the Kali Puja festival (26-28 Oct), which would have made the provision of appropriate security for the match problematic," read a statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

The Cricket Association of Bengal, in a letter to the BCCI, had asked for the date to be changed.
