Harbhajan Singh [ Images ] will be finally playing his 100th Test match.

Harbhajan SinghThe offie has been included in the Indian XI for the opening Test against Australia [ Images ] at the MA Chidambaram stadium starting Friday.

The news of his inclusion in the team was conveyed to him on Thursday morning.

The 32-year-old becomes the ninth Indian cricketer – after Sachin Tendulkar [ Images ] (194), Rahul Dravid [ Images ] (163), VVS Laxman [ Images ] (134), Anil Kumble [ Images ] (132), Kapil Dev [ Images ] (131), Sunil Gavaskar [ Images ] (125), Dilip Vengsarkar (116), Saurav Ganguly [ Images ] (113) and Virender Sehwag [ Images ] (101) – to play in 100 Test matches.
