India registered a comfortable seven-wicket victory over the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in a one-day match of the Emerging Players' Meet, in Brisbane, on Friday.

After AIS skipper Jon Holland elected to bat, at the Fred Ktatzman Oval, the Indians, led by pacer R Vinay Kumar (3-15) skittled out the hosts for 99 in 28.5 overs.

They then chased down the meagre target in only 18.5 overs, losing three wickets.

As many as six AIS batsmen failed to reach the double figures, only Glenn Maxwell (22) crossing 20.

India skipper Shikhar Dhawan, who didn't come out to bat, also picked three wickets for 12 runs with his spin bowling.

Speedster Umesh Yadav (2-26) and left-arm spinner Bhargav Bhatt shared the remaining spoils.

While chasing, openers Srikkanth Aniruddha (32, 25 balls, 4x4, 1x6) and Ajinkya Rahane (37, 26 balls, 8x4) added 70 for the opening stand to seal the issue.

Vice-captain Rahane, in particular, was severe on the AIS bowlers.
