India thrashed hosts Sri Lanka by 161 runs on Wednesday to notch their third straight victory and storm into the final of the triangular under-19 limited-overs tournament, also involving Bangladesh, in Colombo.

India won the toss and rode on a swashbuckling 63 off 67 balls from Jharkhand colt Saurabh Tiwary, whose innings included three sixes and five fours, to pile up 248.

Delhi's Virat Kohli's (32) and Mumbai's Iqbal Abdullah (49 not out) also made handy contributions.

The Indian bowlers then went on to rout Sri Lanka for a meagre 87 in only 29.1 overs at the NCC Ground to pilot their team to an impressive win and into the Saturday's final against either the hosts or Bangladesh.

Assam's G V S Prasad and Punjab's Amanpreet Singh captured three wickets apiece for India.

India had defeated Lanka by 159 runs in their previous league clash on July 20.

On Thursday, India take on Bangladesh, who they had beaten earlier in the round-robin, to complete the league stage.

Scores:  India U-19 248 all out in 49.1 overs (V Kohli 32, S Tiwari 63, I Abdullah 49 not out; Jayratna 5 for 50) beat Sri Lanka U-19 87 all out in 29.1 overs (G V S Prasad 3 for 20, A P Singh 3 for 11).
