Dasgupta to represent CAB

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), whose president Jagmohan Dalmiya has been suspended from attending Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) meetings on account of alleged irregularities in the PILCOM accounts, would be represented by Gautam Dasgupta at the BCCI's 77th Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held in Mumbai on September 27 and 28.

National Cricket Club of India, also from Kolkata, would be represented by Dalmiya's supporter Kamal Morarka, who used to represent Rajasthan earlier, in two-day meeting.

Bihar Cricket Association, which has been allowed to attend, is to be represented by Ajay Narayan Sharma as per the list of representatives approved by BCCI president Sharad Pawar.

The scrutiny of candidates standing for elections to the various posts for a two-year term will be done on Tuesday, according to BCCI sources.

The list of representatives approved to attend the AGM:

West Zone: Lalchand Rajput (Mumbai CA), Niranjan Shah (Saurashtra), Ajay Shirke (Maharashtra), Chirayu Amin (Baroda), Narahari Amin (Gujarat) and Raj Singh Dungarpur (CCI).

North Zone: Arun Jaitley or C K Khanna or S K Bansal (DDCA), Farooq Abdullah or Salim Ahmed Khan (J and K), V K Ahluwalia (Services), I S Bindra or M P Pandove (Punjab), Ranbir Singh Mahendra or Arvind Chowdhury, Dayanand Dongaonkar (All India Universities) and Anurag Thakur (Himachal Pradesh).

South Zone: N Srinivasan (TN CA), Brijesh Patel (Karnataka), Shivlal Yadav (Hyderabad), S K Nair (Kerala), N Venkat Rao (Andhra), Dayanand Narvekar (Goa).

East Zone: Gautam Dasgupta (Bengal), Arindam Ganguly (Tripura), Amitabh Chowdhury (Jharkhand), Ranjib Biswal (Orissa), Kamal Morarka (National Cricket Club), Ajay Narayan Sharma (Bihar), Gautam Roy (Assam).

Central Zone: Rajeev Shukla (Uttar Pradesh), Sanjay Jagdale (Madhya Pradesh), Lalit Modi (Rajasthan), Shashank Manohar (Vidarbha), K C Jena or Rakesh Yadav (Railways).
