June 11, 2007
Spinner Monty Panesar [Images] took his first 10-wicket Test haul as England [Images] beat the West Indies [Images] by 60 runs in the third Test at Old Trafford on Monday.

The victory enabled England take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the four-match series.

-- Panesar bowls England to victory

Panesar exploited a wearing pitch that offered him considerable bounce and turn to finish with six for 137 in the second innings as the West Indies were bowled out for 394 shortly after lunch on the final day.

Panesar finished with match figures of 10-187 - his first 10 wicket haul in his 16th Test - and was named man of the match.

He is the first England spinner to take 10 wickets in a match since Phil Tufnell took 11-93 against Australia at The Oval in the 1997 Ashes series.
