With rain playing spoilsport, only 41 minutes of play was possible on Wednesday, the penultimate day in the Ranji Trophy Super League match between Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan, which is heading for a draw.

No play was possible for the whole of Tuesday, Day 2.

Tamil Nadu, who opted to bat first on Monday, are yet to complete their first innings. They added 22 runs off the 8.2 overs that was possible on Wednesday.

With the weatherman forecasting more rain, the teams will get two points if the first innings is not completed.

Tamil Nadu, who were 302 for 3 on Monday at close, lost the wicket of opener M Vijay when medium pacer Gajendra Singh caught him off his own bowling.

Vijay scored 123 in 375 minutes, inclusive of 11 fours and two sixes.

The hosts were 324 for four in 90 overs when play was called off on Wednesday soon after tea.

At stumps, R Srinivasan (30) and S Sureshkumar (4) were at the crease.
