The keenly-anticipated review committee meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India which will look into the spat between coach Greg Chappell and captain Sourav Ganguly began in Mumbai at 1315 IST.

Chappell's arrival at the Taj hotel in Mumbai, the venue for the meeting, was delayed as he was stuck in the heavy Mumbai traffic. He landed at Mumbai airport at 1130 IST and was taken to the meeting through one of the hotel backdoors, evading the mediapersons waiting for his arrival.

Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar, the other members of the review committee, also arrived late, while Ganguly arrived at 1100 IST.

Ganguly and Chappell are expected to present their views to the committee separately.

The other BCCI members attending the meeting are president Ranbir Singh Mahendra, former president Jagmohan Dalmiya and secretary S K Nair.

Srinivas Venkataraghavan arrived in the morning.

Gavaskar is attending the meeting despite his father's sudden illness and hospitalisation in Pune.

BCCI honorary joint-secretary Prof. Ratnakar Shetty was also present at the venue.

The media briefing is at 1630 IST.
