India suffered a humiliating 69-run defeat to Sri Lanka in their concluding league match at the World Cup on Friday.

Chasing 255 for victory, the 1983 champions were dismissed for 185 in

43.3 overs and finished their league engagements with a solitary victory and two defeats.

Save the showing against minnows Bermuda, Rahul Dravid's side cut a sorry figure against both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

India can only sneak into the Super Eights on better run-rate if Bangladesh loses to Bermuda in the last match of the group. Quite frankly, they don't deserve to progress after such poor showing in the first round.

So what went wrong with a side that promised so much before the start of the tournament?

Have your say!
