Pressure Map: New Zealand vs Bangladesh
Srinivas Bhogle
April 04, 2007 02:32 IST

New Zealand needed only 175 in 50 overs, much less than the Rediff.com expert's estimate of 250. They thus opened their innings with a pressure index (PI) of just 33.

At no point did the game look like a contest, and after the 25th over things got even worse for Bangladesh as captain Stephen Fleming hits fours and sixes at will.

With the Kiwi batsmen in full flight, it proved to be another worthless World Cup match.

Just think about it -- the 2007 World Cup will have at least 32 out of the 51 matches featuring minnows!
