Avid sky watchers were in for a treat as a partial lunar eclipse occurred in the night sky theatre on Thursday. The earth's shadow swept past the moon turning a yellow shining full moon into a dim red one.
Star gazers in India witnessed the last stage of a total lunar eclipse, the second and last one of the year on Wednesday. The moon will be below the horizon during most of the eclipse.
As the teachers began gaining confidence, it also drew the attention of other women in the community, leading to greater demand for teaching jobs.
