The Blue Tigers held their first training session in Vietnam on Monday evening at the Nam Dinh Sports Palace Ground and will have four more full sessions before taking on the hosts on Saturday.
Kang, 45, beat writers including Nobel laureate Orhan Pamuk and international bestseller Elena Ferrante to win the 50,000-pound award on Monday night which she shared with her novel's translator Deborah Smith.
From next year, the 50,000 pounds prize, open to novels and short story collections translated into English and published in the UK, will be awarded annually on the basis of a single book.
