The United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday asked Pakistan to act quickly against the terror groups inside the country saying that these extremist organisations are not only posing a threat to the world but also to their own existence.
The Taliban claimed that Siddiqui's family had approached the Taliban network through a Jirga seeking their assistance to put pressure on the US to do justice with her.
The official was quick to point out that China has been playing a more helpful role in terms of encouraging better relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan. "It is taking a more active role in this regard."
