Delhi Police have arrested Sumit Rana, a suspect in the murder of national-level boxer Vikas Dagar, who was killed in outer Delhi last year. Rana, a member of the Sonu gang, had been evading arrest for eight months.
Harpinder alias Middu, a resident of Naushehra Pannuan in Punjab's Tarn Taran district, was injured in an exchange of fire in Lalru and later succumbed to injuries in hospital, the police said.
The arrests were made after their names emerged during the interrogation of other accused in police custody.
Union Minister Ajay Mishra's son Ashish Mishra along with others accused in the case were also sent into judicial custody from police custody on Monday, the officials said.
The Special Investigation Team investigating the Lakhimpur violence case has filed a chargesheet on Monday in which one accused was added taking the tally of arrested accused to 14.
