A review of a very crucial verdict concerning rape and murder is being sought before the Supreme Court. Senior Advocate, Pramila Nesargi will petition the Chief Justice of India seeking a review of the Rameshbhai Chandubhai Rathod vs State Of Gujarat verdict, in which there were concurrent views on death sentence and finally a lifer was handed out after the matter was referred to a larger bench of the court. A 39-year-old man working with the French consulate in Bengaluru has been detained by the police for allegedly raping his three-year-old girl. The detention was made based on a complaint that was lodged by the man's wife before the High Grounds police in Bengaluru on Friday.
