Pakistan marine personnel allegedly opened fire on Indian fishermen, injuring one of them, near the international maritime border off Jakhau in Gujarat on Thursday night, and apprehended 10 Indian fishing boats on Friday morning in another incident.

Twenty three Indian fishermen were arrested by the Pakistan Marine Security Agency for allegedly encroaching into Pakistani waters, the National Fishworkers' Forum claimed on Tuesday. The incident took place on Monday, when the fishermen, who belong to Porbander, had gone on a fishing expedition near the Indo-Pak marine border, said NFF secretary Manish Lodhari.
The Pakistan Marine Security Agency (PMSA) has arrested five fishermen and seized one fishing boat from the international waters near Jakhau of Kutch district, secretary of national fish forum claimed on Wednesday.
"The PMSA arrested 18 Indian fishermen and seized their four boats on Sunday from the Jakhau region near IMB where they were on a fishing expedition," NFF secretary for Gujarat, Manish Lodhari told PTI.
11 fishermen who were on board the Pakistani boat have been detained.
