The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has apprehended a gang from Bihar accused of drugging and robbing train passengers on the Malabar Express. The suspects were caught with stolen valuables and sedatives.
There was no casualty and all passengers were taken to Thrissur for their onward journey. Railway ordered a probe.
A 28-year-old man, who tried to prevent some inebriated youth allegedly from molesting a woman co-passenger, was seriously injured after he was thrown out of a moving train at Cheruthurthi near Thrissur, police said on Thursday.
