A day ahead of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple, the streets and the skyline of Ayodhya have turned saffron with flags flying atop buildings, small and big, across the temple town.
The judge also said forget about the question of the beginning of the trial, the police have not even filed the charge sheet in the case it dating back to December 2019, leaving the accused to languish in jail all the while.
The rape survivor suffered 90 per cent burns after five men, including two of the rape accused, allegedly set her on fire while she was on her way to court, police said.
The girl was set ablaze by 5 men, 2 of whom had raped her. She died a day later. DGP says the case will be tried in fast-track court and a strong chargesheet will be field.
The incident occurred at Sindupur village under Bihar police station area. The victim has been shifted to a government hospital in Lucknow and is in a critical condition.
