Police have filed a case against JJP leader Digvijay Singh Chautala and members of the INSO for allegedly damaging public property during an event at Kurukshetra University. The FIR cites damage to chairs and other property, leading to accusations of political disruption and government interference.
Continuing their protest against the controversial four-year undergraduate programme in Delhi University, members of various student bodies today held demonstrations outside the residence of the vice-chancellor, demanding immediate rollback of Four Year Undergraduate Programme.
Stepping up pressure, the University Grants Commission on Saturday asked the Delhi University to scrap the four-year undergraduate programme even as the DU Vice Chancellor is understood to have cautioned against taking any step "in a hurry".
The Indian National Lok Dal had split following differences between Ajay Singh Chautala and his younger brother Abhay Chautala.
