The NSE Nifty settled flat at 5,054. The market breadth was fairly positive, out of 2,843 shares traded, 1,599 advanced and 1,166 declined on the BSE.
The NSE Nifty ended at 5,109, down nine points. The market breadth is marginally positive, out of 2,836 shares traded, 1,401 advanced and 1,357 declined on the BSE.
The NSE Nifty settled at 4,662, down 70 points. The GDP numbers, economic growth of 6.1% in Q1, failed to cheer the investors and the index tumbled to a low of 15,590.
The market breadth was fairly negative - out of 2,728 stocks traded, 1,626 declined, 1,011 advanced and the rest were unchanged on Friday. Selling was seen across-the-board with big losses in realty, technology, financial and metal stocks.

Unabated selling in the banking, metal and capital goods stocks saw the index tumble to a low of 16,300 - down 349 points from its previous close. The Sensex finally ended with a loss of 301 points at 16,348. The market breadth was negative - out of 2,758 stocks traded, 667 advanced, 2,043 declined and 48 were unchanged on Monday. The NSE Nifty settled with a loss of 71 points at 4,875.
The Sensex opened 31 points higher at 17,404. Though it went a bit higher to 17,414, the higher levels could not be sustained. The index slipped into the negative zone, losing 143 points. It finally ended with a loss of 34 points at 17,339. The NSE Nifty shed 8 points to end at 5,135.50. Bhel was the biggest Sensex loser, declining 4.12%. TCS was the biggest gainer in the index, up 3%. Reliance Capital topped the value chart with a turnover of Rs 240.15 crore.
The Sensex finally ended with a loss of 834 points (4.8% ) at 16,631. The NSE Nifty slipped over 5% (263 points) to 4,857.
The Nifty ended down 80 points (1.5%) at 5,003. During the day, the NSE index dropped below the 5,000 mark to touch a low of 4,992. All indices, barring FMCG, ended in the red. FMCG, has however been one of the worst performering sectors since the Budget day. The BSE realty, metal, bankex and auto indices dropped 2-4% each.
The Sensex opened with a negative gap of 127 points at 17,212. It finally ended with a loss of 258 points at 17,081. The NSE Nifty closed 54 points lower at 5,082. ITC plunged over 5% to Rs 215, and Satyam Computers slumped 3.7% to Rs 471. ICICI Bank and Reliance Energy dropped 3% each to Rs 891 and Rs 1,394, respectively. Infosys and Larsen & Toubro tumbled nearly 3.5% each to Rs 1,780 and Rs 2,886, respectively. BHEL, DLF and ONGC were down over 1% each.
The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 67 points at 16,796. After advacing to a high of 16,844, the index slipped into the red to 16,668 - down 176 points from the day's high. It finally ended at 16,721 points, 23 points higher. The NSE Nifty settled with a loss of 23 points at 4,999. ACC was the biggest loser on the Sensex, down 5.5% to Rs 798. Reliance COmmunication and Rel Energy were down 2.89% and 2.73%. Hindustan Unilever was the biggest gainer, up 3.12% to Rs 249.35.
The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 40 points at 16,824. After advacing to a high of 16,871, the index slipped into red to 16,589 - down 282 points from the day' high. It finally ended with a loss of 86 points at 16,698. The NSE Nifty settled with a loss of 26 points at 5,023. HDFC Bank plunged 3% to Rs 1,443. Hindalco and BHEL shed 2.5% each at Rs 188 and Rs 1,827, respectively. ACC surged 3% to Rs 844. Infosys & Wipro also rallied nearly 3% each to Rs 1,646 and Rs 443.
