The Hero Glamour might be a hot seller but it isn't as impressive as its popularity suggests. The bike doesn't have as much performance as you would expect from a 125cc motorcycle, says Faisal Ali Khan.
Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL) has been the best-performing auto stock over the last three months, gaining over 17 per cent during this period. Multiple tailwinds, especially on the rural front, are expected to boost its volumes. In addition to the demand drivers, new launches too should help drive growth both in the commuter and premium motorcycle categories.
In September, sales of 125cc models - that include the Hero Glamour, Splendor, Pulsar 125, Victor Star City, among others - grew by a whopping 30 per cent over the same period a year ago to 305,615 units.
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 classic is Rs 10,118 cheaper than the standard Pulsar 150.
