The Karnataka High Court reserved its orders on a petition filed by arrested PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani praying for quashing of the charge sheet filed against him in connection with the 2008 Bengaluru serial blasts. During a hearing on the petition which came up before Justice Subhash B Adi, Special Public Prosecutor H S Chandramouli opposed the plea contending that there was enough evidence against Madani for his complicity in the blasts.

The Bengaluru police filed an affidavit before the Karnataka high court on Thursday alleging that controversial People's Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasar Madani was trying to form an Islamic India. Madani was arrested on Tuesday for his alleged role in the Bengaluru serial blasts that had rocked the city on July 25, 2008. On Wednesday, Madani had filed an application in the high court seeking his discharge from the case.
