Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who has chosen to function from St George Fort -- housing the assembly and secretariat -- instead of the upcoming new complex, on Friday said there was no political bias against the previous Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam government-initiated project.
'The Pakistan government, we were told, has a plan to renovate several Hindu temples and Buddhist sites, which over the years have fallen into disrepair. The aim is to create a pilgrimage circuit to attract visitors from all over the subcontinent.'
