Smartphone maker HTC on Thursday said it plans to introduce handsets at prices lower than Rs 10,000 for the first time, targeting emerging markets like India.
HTC Desire 820 will be available in two variants - with an octa core processor and quad core one.
Experts say launches would pick up pace from mid-March.
Come July, mobile phone prices are expected to be dearer by up to 10 per cent due to the steep depreciation in the value of rupee against dollar.
