A recent study published in npj Aging reveals that epigenetic clocks, which estimate biological age by measuring DNA methylation, capture various aspects of aging biology, including immune system changes, metabolism, and cell communication. Researchers also developed new gene-expression-based clocks that show stronger predictive power for age-related diseases and mortality.
