General Motors India launched its new Chevrolet Sail U-Va car on Monday with a target to sell around 2000 cars monthly in Jaipur.
The Sail is not the most feature-rich car in its segment.
In a second attempt to challenge the dominant position of Maruti Swift, GM India will launch a cheaper variant of Sail U-VA that will cost Rs 529,000.
The company had to stop production of Chevrolet Sail, Chevrolet Sail U-VA and Tavera.
The car will be available in petrol (priced between Rs 444,000 and Rs 558,000) and in diesel, too, (priced between Rs 587,000 and Rs 662,000).
