Stuart Law, who announced he was quitting the Bangladesh national coach's job on Monday, has taken up a coaching role with Cricket Australia's Centre of Excellence (COE).
Young pacer Dhaval Kulkarni, the under-19 cricketer who played for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, on Wednesday became the first recipient of the Dilip Sardesai Scholarship. As the winner of the scholarship, established in memory of the late Test batsman by the Mumbai Cricket Association, Kulkarni will visit Australia for a six-week training stint at the Australian Cricket Academy and the expenses for his trip will be borne by the MCA.
West Indies coach Bennett King predicted a close game against India on Thursday, but claimed recent successes against the hosts boosted his team's confidence.
The Bangladesh coach said his team was focusing on improving individual performance.
The Australian bowling legend was unhappy with a new proposal from the Centre of Excellence.
"It will be great for the children (in Leicester) to watch me and talk to me," he said.
He regains the job three years after he gave it up.
The 39-year-old replaces Gus Logie, whose contract was terminated at the end of September.
Bangladesh declared their first innings at 7-232, a deficit of 26, and reduced the Academy to 4-99 in their second innings at stumps on day two.
