Arvind Kejriwal-led India Against Corruption on Monday came out in support of Koodankulam protesters and jailed cartoonist Aseem Trivedi, accusing the government of using charges of sedition to muzzle voices of dissent. Addressing a press conference, Kejriwal, Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav condemned the police action against locals protesting against a nuclear plant in Tamil Nadu's Koodankulam and slapping sedition charges on Trivedi.
Activist Kiran Bedi on Sunday appeared to be breaking ranks with erstwhile Team Anna by skipping a protest against corruption over differences on targetting the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying they cannot forget the support from the opposition party in some ways on Lokpal Bill.
A day before Anna Hazare is to reach Delhi to hold discussions about taking forward the anti-graft movement, Arvind Kejriwal-led India Against Corruption (IAC) on Monday claimed that 76 per cent of people surveyed were in favour of forming a political party.
