Eleven accused in the sensational G S Road molestation case in Guwahati on July 9, including prime accused Amarjyoti Kalita, were convicted on Friday while four others acquitted.
Hours after Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi claimed that the key accused in the Guwahati molestation case was in Bhubaneswar, the Odisha police on Monday said its Assam counterpart is yet to contact it on the matter.
Amarjyoti Kalita, prime accused in the molestation of a girl on July 9 outside a pub, was remanded to five days police custody on Thursday.

On the run for two weeks, Amarjyoti Kalita, who brazenly led a mob in molesting a young woman in Guwahati, was on Monday arrested in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh following a tip-off from Assam police.
