The third Lusofonia Games, slated to be held in Goa in November, have been postponed to January due to the slow progress of infrastructure work. The Games of 'Lusophone' (Portuguese-speaking countries) will now be held from January 18 to 29, 2014.
Brazil and Portugal are unlikely to send their football teams to the Lusofonia Games beginning November 2 in Goa even as some of the participating nations have expressed their reservations on the infrastructure being put up in the state.
The third edition of the Lusofonia Games in Goa, scheduled to begin in November 2, is in danger of being called off due to the state government's failure to complete projects related to the event on time.
