A woman and her lover have been arrested in Palghar, India, for allegedly murdering her husband and burying his body under the floor tiles of their home. The crime came to light after neighbors reported a foul smell and the husband's disappearance.

'I don't know if he put up a front but he never let me feel his morale was down. He told me how he was tackling the problems he was facing, or if there was some way the lawyers could help, but he would always tell me not to worry with a big broad smile.'
The Maharashtra Police said that based on a complaint by Shraddha Walkar in 2020, they had begun an investigation but the case was closed after she gave a written statement to withdraw the case.
