Eman Ahmed, who weighs around 500 kg and is the world's heaviest woman, has been under observation at the Saifee Hospital since her arrival in Mumbai on Saturday and has now been put on high-protein liquid diet, doctors said.
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shaina N C also came out in support of the demand by the doctors of Saifee hospital, which treated Eman for weight loss. "All said and done, it would be in order for her (Shaimaa) to apologise to Dr Muffazal Lakdawala and the hospital authorities for the good work they had done for Eman.
"We are extremely happy and pleased with her progress and wish her all the best," added Lakdawala.
Eman Ahmed was transported by a fully-equipped truck, which was followed by an ambulance and a police escort, to Saifee Hospital where a special room has been built for her.
The privately-owned Saifee Hospital announced that Eman is being shifted to Burjeel Hospital in the UAE, a move that comes amid allegations by her sister Shaimaa Selim that she was not receiving proper treatment.
Eman to fly to UAE for further treatment.
