Embroiled in a bruising controversy in the shadow of the #MeToo campaign, the Swedish Academy has postponed the 2018 award until next year, when it will name two winners.
The Nobel Prize committee has given up trying to reach musician Bob Dylan, days after he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
The award to the star was announced on 13 October "for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition".
Dylan, 75, was honoured "for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition," the Swedish Academy said.
