A local court in Mumbai on Thursday allowed the CBI to question afresh Indrani Mukerjea and two other arrested accused in the Sheena Bora murder case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation, which is probing the sensational Sheena Bora murder case, on Saturday told a special court in Mumbai that prime accused Indrani Mukerjea had informed her husband and former media magnate Peter Mukerjea about killing her daughter on April 24, 2012.
Peter, 59, husband of prime accused Indrani Mukerjea, was arrested on November 19 for his alleged role in the murder case and was in CBI custody for two weeks following which he was granted judicial remand.
Mukerjea's lawyer has sought home food for Peter in jail as he is a senior citizen, having heart ailments and has been taking medicine to lower his cholesterol.
The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday told a special court in Mumbai that Indrani Mukerjea, prime accused in the sensational Sheena Bora murder case, and her husband former media baron Peter Mukerjea were unhappy with the relationship between her daughter Sheena and Peter's son Rahul.
