The US administration has ordered a probe into the deaths and disappearances of at least 10 top US scientists and researchers with access to information related to aerospace, defence and extra-terrestrial life.
The pilot program will concentrate primarily on facilities in third countries, such as China and India, which produce much of the world's pharmaceutical raw materials, but are sometimes beyond the reach of US inspectors. The United States imported more than $2 trillion worth of products last year, an amount that exceeds the entire GDP of France and approximately $6,500 for every man, woman, and child in the US.
US experts were pondering on the safety of food imported into US from developing countries. In lieu of this thought process, a new trend has emerged in America of preferring locally produced food. This trend is affecting Wal Mart and Whole Foods too. It has been observed that when food travels far, the local community are the least benefitted out of the exports. But the trend to grow more locally will seriously affect nations that depend largely on agricultural exports.
Dinesh Patel, Utah's most high profile and influential Indian American, was conferred the Willem J Kolff Lifetime Achievement Award at BioUtah's 2013 Utah Life Science Award, the state's top science award ceremony.
