Observing that the Board of Control for Cricket in India cannot level serious allegations and suspend a player only on the basis of 'hearsay', the Bombay High Court has asked the governing body of cricket in the country to look into cricketer Hiken Shah's request for a hearing against such an action.
Observing that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is conducting repair work of potholes in the city in an ad hoc manner, the Bombay high court on Friday said the civic body seems to be using sub-standard material due to which potholes keep cropping up.
The court also ordered notices to be served to Union Carbide of the US and Eveready India Limited. The two firms have to file replies on March 17, the court said.
