After termination of the joint venture with Honda Motor Corporation (HMC), the world's single largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Honda has begun scouting for partners globally to source technology and designing expertise.
While Hero Honda is ramping up capacity by 50 per cent, HMSI is readying itself to launch a fourth product.
India's largest two wheeler-maker Hero Honda will pay Honda 45 billion yen (about Rs 2,4.5 billion) till 2014 as part of a new licencing agreement signed between the Hero Group and the Japanese auto major after deciding to part ways on their joint venture.
Hero Honda Motors Ltd on Wednesday said it would pump in Rs 200 crore (Rs 2 billion) this fiscal for capacity expansion and new model launches, including its much-awaited scooter models.
