A new study indicates that India's monsoon season could experience a significant increase in uncompensable heat stress under a 2 degrees Celsius global warming scenario, extending the duration of extreme heat conditions.
Meteorologist Dan Satterfield reported on his blog hosted by the American Geophysical Union that 'King tides' are produced when the gravitational forces of the Sun, Earth and Moon are aligned.
'Nobody asked us to work on this. It was on our own that we decided to embark on this journey.'
"This warming trend is alarming," said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson.
The new records for extreme lightning bursts, or 'megaflashes', during 2019, are more than double the size and duration of the previous record flashes.
