Yahoo has shut down its news websites in India due the new foreign direct investment (FDI) rules that limit foreign ownership of media companies that operate and publish digital content in India.
The journalists joining Yahoo! News, the most-visited news site on web, include prominent reporters and editors from Politico, ABC, Washingtonpost.com, TalkingPointsMemo.com Observer and other publications, The New York Times reported.
The United States is the worst affected country in the world from the coronavirus infection. There are 1.3 million coronavirus cases in the country and the death toll stands at 78,000.
