India ranks 78th among 97 countries in guaranteeing access to all civil justice, a latest report has said, while its neighbouring country Sri Lanka leads the South Asian nations in most dimensions of the rule of law.
India has ranked 59th in the Rule of law index 2015 compiled by The World Justice Project gaining an overall score of 0.51 out of 1.
China moved to 100th place, down from 80th last year, while Pakistan and Nepal were at 126th position. Bangladesh was 145th and Bhutan 30th in the ranking.
